LCA Art students took part in a guided tour of Dundalk’s public art, where they learned about the meaning behind each piece, the artists who created them and how the artworks connect to the town’s history.
This was part of their General Task.
Transition Year students, in collaboration with LCA students, gave the Art Room a vibrant facelift inspired by the imagery and style of artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
The students also recreated the iconic artwork Dancing Figures, now proudly displayed in the corridor. This piece symbolises life, unity and freedom and strongly reflects the school’s ethos by celebrating Diversity, Inclusivity, Friendship, and Teamwork.
