Students from TY and Fifth year had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Young Scientist and Technology Competition on Thursday where they supported our school entries and immersed themselves in innovation, creativity and cutting-edge projects.
The students involved were third year students Brian Mc Cabe and Will Stewart, TYs Conor Douglas, Breffni Tuomey Lynch and Conn Sheridan and 5th years Tiernan Brodigan, James Gorham and Darragh Owens.
The visit also proved hugely beneficial from an academic perspective, with students using the experience to research and gather ideas for the project-based components of their Fifth Year subjects , particularly the new AAC project element. Seeing real-world applications of science, technology and research in action was both inspiring and motivating.
Teachers and students alike were impressed by the outstanding projects on display.
A special word of thanks and appreciation goes to Ms McAdam and Ms O’Hare for their dedication and commitment over the past few months. Their support and hard work were invaluable. Thank you.
Huge congratulations to Third Year students Will and Brian, who achieved an incredible Second Place in their category, a fantastic achievement and one we are all very proud of!
Well done to all involved for representing the school with such enthusiasm, curiosity and excellence .
