Louth Volunteering Showcase
TY students enjoyed the Louth Volunteering Showcase today
in the
Fairways Hotel Conference Centre.
This showcase allowed students the opportunity to experience the various options for volunteering in community and civic groups that are available in Dundalk and beyond.
The volunteering aspect of the GAISCE Bronze Award (Community Involvement) was mentioned and students learned about opportunities available to fulfil their ‘Community Involvement’ aspect of the GAISCE award. There will be a formal presentation on GAISCE after students return from their work experience and civic/community placements.
