Catholic Schools Week – Pics

We were honoured to welcome the St. Carlo Acutis Exhibition and a 1st class relic to De La Salle College. All 1st and 5th year students had the opportunity to visit and share in this meaningful and reflective experience of faith modern witness and Eucharistic devotion.

A huge well done to the Faith & Ethos Group Shea Mellin, Oisín Ó Maoileoin, James Gorham and Cian Halpin who worked brilliantly with Ms Mc Hale in organising and running the event. Your leadership, commitment and reverence made the experience truly special for all involved.

A proud moment for our school community.

As part of Catholic Schools Week, Ms Murray led a wonderful photography project celebrating Holiness in everyday life.

Well done to all the students and staff who submitted such thoughtful and inspiring images.

A big thank you also to Ms Rogers and students Kaylem Duffy and Sean Murphy, who helped to compile the video,  a fantastic collaboration and a lovely reflection of faith lived out in daily life. You can watch the video on our social media pages.

Catholic Schools Week – Photography Project

Well done to all the students and staff who submitted photographs to our Catholic Schools Week photography project. The standard of entries was fantastic and really captured the theme beautifully.

A special word of thanks to Ms. Murray for organising the project, and to Ms Rogers, Kaylem Duffy and Sean Murphy who helped compile the photographs into a wonderful video.

Congratulations to our prize winners:

1st Place – Riley Martin, 4 Diarmuid

2nd Place – Finn Stacey, 3 Colmcille

3rd Place – Oisin Duffy, 5 Joyce

As part of Catholic Schools Week, our 2nd year students attended SEINN in the Redeemer Church.

Students took part in the drumming introduction, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.

A special well done to Shea Mellin, Cian Halpin, Oisín Ó Maoileoin and Dillon Sharkey, who performed a powerful dramatisation on the importance of faith and God in our everyday, normal lives.

It was a truly uplifting and meaningful experience for all involved.

The theme for the final day of Catholic Schools Week was Joy and Mission.

To mark the occasion, staff were treated to some well-deserved treats as a small recognition of how they live out the Lasallian principles and demonstrate holiness in their classrooms and along the corridors every day.

It was a lovely opportunity to pause, share a moment of joy together, and celebrate the spirit and mission that underpin our school community.
