Winning ‘Best Essay’ at the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation Awards.

Congratulations to De La Salle 5th Year student Robert Keenan on winning ‘Best Essay’ at the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation Awards. Robert, his family and Cian Ó Náraigh were in attendance in Leinster House for the Awards Lunch, where Robert received his certificate. The Foundation promotes pride and respect for the Irish flag in celebrating a new and more inclusive Ireland. Congratulations Robert!

The Rotary Youth Leadership competition Winner.

Congratulations! Congratulations to James Meehan who won the school round of The Rotary Youth Leadership competition. James will represent the De La Salle College at the next round of the competition in the Ballymascanlon Hotel on the 18th of October. We wish James every success.

All Scotland Championship 2023 Winner.

Congratulations to 6th year student Daragh Roddy on winning the All Scotland Championship 2023 in the U18 Mens in Irish Dancing recently in Glasgow.

Daragh won a World Title earlier this year and his journey to Scotland marks the start of a competitive new season. Daragh is facing the Leaving Certificate this year as well as maintaining his Ulster, All Ireland and World titles and we here in the De la Salle have every faith in his academic and sporting abilities.

Well done Daragh, great things to come!

North Leinster U16 Shield Winners.

Congratulations to the u16 gaelic team, who won the North Leinster U16 shield final against The Marist. In a thrilling match the boys were losing by 4 points at half time. They battled back well in the 2nd half to win the match by 4 points. The final score was DLS 3.09 to Marist 1.11

All-Ireland Irish dancing

Massive congratulations to our 5th year student Daragh Roddy who has just won his first All-Ireland title in Irish dancing!

The competition was held in Killarney last week where Daragh took the first place trophy for the men’s 17-18 yrs category. In April Daragh will be one of the dancers to represent Ireland in Montreal, Canada when he competes for a World title. Daragh has been dancing for almost 10 years and his ambition has been to attain the much-coveted World title. We in the De la Salle wish him the very best of luck!

Rotary Presentations 2022

Finn Connolly  has been selected as a winner at the Schools stage of the competition. 

Texaco Art Competition!

Daragh Roddy , De La Salle has won a special merit Award in Category B of the 67th Texaco Children’s Art Competition with an entry entitled “Vanilla”. Daragh is pictured with Art Teacher Mr Stephen McCourt, Principal Nicola Connolly and Deputy Daragh Mc Keon.

Joyful January Photo competition!

The aim of the competition was to raise awareness for positive mental health in our school .

It was organised by the Amber Flag Committee and The Young social innovators.
